The faithful who have been made immortal will assist Jesus in the government of the kingdom and the remnant of Israel and the nations that are left will be guided in the way to live in order to please God. This will last for 1000 years.
Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
The kingdom will be a time of peace and joy. There will be sufficient food and drink for all. People’s illnesses will be healed. People will not be allowed to be unkind to others.
Isaiah 2:2-4 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
There are many other word pictures in the Bible about what it will be like in the kingdom on earth:
e.g. Isaiah 25:6-9, Isaiah 35:5,6,8,10, Psalm 72, Isaiah 65:17-25, Zechariah 14:9,16,20,21
At the end of the 1000 years there will be a judgement of those who have died during the 1000 year kingdom and also the mortal people alive at this time. The faithful will be made immortal, while the others will cease to exist.
Revelation 20:12, 14, 15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And death and hell (the grave) were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (The lake of fire is not literal but symbolic language, meaning complete destruction).
So there is an end to human life and death and only God and immortal people will remain on the earth.
1Corinthians 15:24-28 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
